come on out and dance

This is a large charcoal drawing of a group of trees I pass on my daily walk.They always seem full of movement, and i love they way they are united in their connection to eachother, standing proud as I walk towards them through the field. I make small notebook drawings on my walks which provide the basis of larger work back in my studio.
I use heavy Italian paper,slowly building up layers of light and dark,until I capture the experience of being in the presence of this environment
